We lucked out with a good Mexican place just down the street from the gig at the Vogue Theatre. Here, on the stroll back, we stopped at a light and the natural light was just right for a mugging.

The last night of the tour and here we are in St.Thomas,Ont. Promises to be a grand finale in the Princess Avenue Playhouse. However, it will have it's work cut out for itself, topping the Avening Community Hall rock and roll party last night.
 The work was cut... and so were we by the end of it.

Scrappyhappiness Touring

The Scrappyhappiness tour, first leg, is rocking to a triumphant victory lap here in Ontario. Tonight's show in St.Catharines at the Brock Centre was typically off the chain and a good time was had by all. In fact it can be verifiably stated that ALL the shows have been terrific, suitably scrappy and harmoniously happy.From Victoria and The Vogue in Vancouver,through the charm of Salmon Arm, to the guaranteed kitchen partiness of Banff, Calgary,Edmonton and Saskatoon.Winnipeg was a winner and three days in Montreal did everyone a favour.Ottawa held their hearts high even though we knew game 7 was the end of the season for the Sens. Not even a 10 hour day of traffic jams on the 401 could dampen our jams.rock on Canada,we deserve each other. Xo

First Thursday recording was bedded in six and is now in the hands of the Silverchilde. Expect a

fresh and tuneful start to the year.

Tomorrow night sees Sloan at the Casino Nova Scotia for two shows. It also sees the last night of

our beloved best club in town, Tribeca. Home to many a True Love Rules gig and JPE alumni.

Forced into closure by the man, who will never understand, whomever he is. Don't trust him.

Edmunston, NB. 2 am. Last night of the tour. The Goldilocks motel. Meanwhile, over Paris, Davey Myles was listening to his new demos , next thing , lights out .

A North Bay Saturday night . We rolled on down a clean dry highway from 2 stellar nights in Hamilton . This venue here is something special though ; a classic Capitol theatre like what used to grace many Canadian cities, including Halifax, before the stupid sob's torn it down . David Myles has just finished his charming set so it's time to stretch and kick , out the jams . Rock over North Bay .

The Joel Plaskett Emergency has made it through 2 nights and only this night remains for the relentless rock down to go into the books . No opener tonight , after a entertaining Shotgun Jimmy set last night , so 2 sets . New fave opener Lightening Bolt may start things for the 3 rd straight night . Get there early ; plush red curtains pull at 9 :45 .

It's about 48 hours and the EMERGENCY load IN The Seahorse Tavern in Halifax for 3 nights of rocking the well hung stockings with care , just for the holidays . Up to 7 new Plaskett numbers may make a debut , but don't worry , you'll hear a lot of your favourites in the shortlist of 35 songs up for instant consideration . Also , we have great operners ; Carey Beck on Thursday and Shotgun Jimmie on Friday , so get there early , if you have a ticket , the shows are sold out . Happy Holidays !

The EMERGENCY wheels have turned a milestone . The ol' Suburban hayride rolled 500,000 kms on our way down the highway between Stewiacke and Brookfield at Shortts Road no.2 ,( just past the Alton Loop ) . We pulled over , took a picture , peed next to the scarecrow , and loaded back in for the gig in Moncton . Classic EMERGENCY lore . Here's a little Hank Snow to celebrate . Rock on .
