A busy July

We're looking forward to our first trip to Ft. MacMurray for the Friday gig. Hear there are a few east coasters out there we'll have to meet. Also, this coming Sunday we'll be in beautiful Fredericton, NB, for Canada Day! True patriot love, indeed. It's a busy month for the JPE with shows all across this big country. So come say Hey, kid. See you in Sudbury, Calgary, Yarmouth, London, Guelph, Huntsville and St.John's. What cha wanna hear?

Summer!

It's the first day of summer! Here in Nova Scotland it was hot and sunny, and funny. At least funny in the Hades-like confines of the Echo Chamber studio, where Marsh was mixing the tracks for the long awaited True Love Rules follow up, with studio honcho Charles Austin. Quote of the day," A little construction in the background isn't necessarily a bad thing, right?". Joel is possibly out west with the family and the Elk was at the salon clipping like a scrapbook Sweeney Todd. Happy summer to you all and look for more Scrappy Happiness out there this summer, starting in Fort McMurray on June 29th!

A return to the Ship Victory

It's not often the band you're in plays the tavern where the old man spent your college fund, but this is the case with the JPE gig this Saturday at the Ship Victory in Dartmouth. A mere beer bottle's throw from the Navy yard called Shannon Park where we grew up and threw down and then threw back up again. Guests include Bar B Q buddies Scoop Outs and Mo Kenney. Who needs college, anyway? Having one useless BA in Johnston is enough.  The ship was rocking and the night victorious. Great crowd in a unique venue. Hopefully we've opened up a new side of town for some more gigs. Mo Kenney, with Chris Colepaugh, was a real charmer. The kid stays in the pict cha ! And the Scoop Outs were all fidgety fringes rock and roll at it's best and partied with us later and drank all the beer. A great night had by all.
