SLOAN with Dave Marsh's True Love Rules this friday night , The Grawood , Dalhousie Uni . That turned out to be a grand night all round . Unusual number of handcuffs and arrests but most remained at liberty and had a real cool time . Sloan were on fine form ; some nice hardcore slams and a rocking visit from Patricks pop on keys . Radio MRCH broadcasted all night from the merch pavillion with hype man Kevin ( Skip Lowe ) Hilliard divining the 50/50 draw .
The True Love Rules also laid down a bitchin' 8 song chicken dinner with the hotness supplied by the ladies of Skank Williams on Move You Around . Magic !

Kingfest Music Festival , Seneca College , this Friday , June 22 ( we fly up , play the show , and fly home that night . In for last call by 2 ) ..... In reality , the flight was delayed , we landed spongily at Halifax around 2:30 am and thence home to crash . Good times none the less ; always a gas gas gas to hang with the Sloan crew and The terrible Trews ( forget about solar , harness Colin's energy ) , and good to see some Golden Dogs including Taylor , above . ; thanks Kingfest at Seneca.

Two great nights at the Opera House and the end of ASHTRAY ROCK TOUR 07 leg one . Thanks to everyone for coming out and partying . Night two was filmed and , unlike some previous jittery celluloid forays , should represent the tour nicely ( even the 12 string chose night one to eff up ) after the miles of kilometres kneaded the band into a old faithful like space racket . Also , TIM ' Miniature Tim ' Stewart ascending the stage for LOVE THIS TOWN = Legendary .
Heaps of old pals in attendance ( Mike , Mark , Mike , Tom , Tom , Matt , Matt , LC , Steph , Buck , Allison , McGetts and DJ Maruna , Babs , Steve , Amanda , Cam , Jack , John Angus ,Colin , Stewart , Sherri and O' Connor ...on and on .
